ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. – Two inmates who escaped from the Robertson County detention facility early Wednesday were caught in Texas late Friday night.
The US Marshals confirmed late Friday night that the men had been
found in Denton, Texas, just outside Dallas; a nearly 12 hour drive from Springfield, Tennessee
where the men escaped from.
29-year-old Joshua Caldwell, from West Moreland and 26-year-old
Jessie Louis Lobbins, from Murfreesboro, escaped from a Robertson County
detention facility around 2 a.m. Wednesday.
They were believed to have jumped off the roof and onto the
sidewalk.
US Marshals said that both men were found in a boarding house in
Texas and were taken into custody without incident. Officials said the Lobbins
gave up immediately when found, Caldwell was hiding in the house and had to be
located.
When the two left Robertson County authorities believed they were
driving a stolen pickup truck. While the men have been found that stolen car
has not been recovered.
Caldwell and Lobbins were being held in the Dallas County Jail and
will be extradited back to Tennessee to face charges.
