NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A former University of Tennessee basketball player has been arrested on DUI charges in Nashville.

JP Prince was pulled over on Mountain View Road in Antioch around 1 a.m. Thursday.

According to police, he was driving 60-miles per hour in a 35-mile an hour zone. The officer said he smelled alcohol, and that Prince failed all three stages of the field sobriety test.

His girlfriend and two-year old child were also in the car.

Prince allegedly told police that he had picked up the child from his girlfriend's mother's house and was going to his girlfriend's house near Bell Road and Anderson Road.

Prince played for the Vols for three years, and played last season in Turkey.
