52 Arrested In Drug Round-Up In Wilson County

Posted: Updated:

WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. - Investigators arrested more than four dozen people in a massive drug round-up in Wilson County on Thursday morning.

The Sheriff's Department headed out with 84 indictments from the Grand Jury, and made arrested on charges ranging from drug possession to manufacturing.

Deputies said some of the suspects are known gang members, associated with the Vice Lords and the Crips.

"This is a fight that we're never going to win just like taking a canoe full of water and dipping it out with a tablespoon. But you got to keep dipping and that's what we're going to do. We're going keep plugging away at it hopefully making a big change," said Wilson County Sheriff Terry Ashe.

The round-up was a part of a four-month investigation, and it is still ongoing.
