Special Stocking Stuffers Arrive At Baptist Hospital
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - For some parents at Baptist Hospital, Christmas came a few days early in the form of some new little stocking stuffers.
It's a holiday tradition, where babies delivered during the Christmas season at Baptist Hospital are brought to their parent's room in an oversize Christmas stocking.
"It's an oversized gift red stocking that they can use a memento for years to come to remember this time of the year. These babies are special gifts from God and we want to celebrate that," said Kristi Gooden of Baptist Hospital.
Each bright red stocking is embroidered with the Baptist Hospital logo. Baptist expects to hand out nearly 250 stockings in the week leading up to Christmas.
For more than 35 years, Baptist has continued this tradition.
