KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Volunteers have boosted their defensive line receiving a letter of intent from Darrington Sentimore from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
Tennessee announced the signing Wednesday. Sentimore started his career with two seasons at Alabama before he transferred to Gulf Coast Community College.
The 6-foot-3, 273-pound lineman will start classes in January and has two seasons of eligibility remaining. The native of Norco, La., is rated as a 3-star prospect by Rivals.com, and he had 39 tackles with five for loss and seven sacks this season helping the Bulldogs go 10-2.
Sentimore redshirted at Alabama in 2009 and debuted in 2010 playing in 11 games for the Crimson Tide.
