NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Goodwill centers all across the mid-state said they are seeing a donation rush as the end of the year approaches.
Workers at the Bellevue store said they are in the midst of their busiest season.
All donations are tax deductible, and 98 percent of Goodwill sales are used to pay for services like their career solution centers.
Organizers said they are in need of some of the essentials right now.
"We are desperately, which is very interesting, in need of clothing. For some reason people don't seem to be clearing out their closets. So if you've got clothing at home that the kids have outgrown or you don't think is fashionable any longer and also shoes. We could use more shoes this year," said Suzanne Kay-Pittman.
