One Person Shot In Hermitage Drug Deal

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said a drug deal gone bad led to one person being shot outside a Mapco gas station in Hermitage Friday afternoon.

Police said the shooting happened just before 4 p.m. at the Mapco gas station on Old Hickory Boulevard and Dodson Chapel Road.   19-year-old Bradley Bowie was shot in the stomach and was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 

Officers said that Bowie and another man arrived at the Mapco station in two separate cars to engage in the drug transaction.  Detectives have not yet determined why they men started shooting. The identity of the shooter has also not been determined.

Bowie remains at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.
