MTA, RTA Bus Fares To Increase Friday

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Beginning Friday, bus fares will increase up for Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority, AccessRide passengers, and for Regional Transportation Authority buses.

MTA bus fares will go up 10 cents, while AccessRide will go up 20 cents. RTA bus fares will go up 50 cents for their express bus fare.

Passes for both have been adjusted accordingly.

This is the first rate increase for MTA in four years. It is due to rising healthcare, fuel and operating costs.

MTA and RTA held four public hearings about the proposed rate changes in November.
