Tennessee State Golfer Injured In Car Crash In Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Tennessee State golfer Marie Black is listed in good condition in the intensive care unit at Indianapolis' Wishard Hospital following a New Year's Day traffic accident.

The accident occurred on 21st Street in Black's hometown of Indianapolis. Additional details were not available.

Tigers athletic director Teresa Phillips issued a statement Tuesday night saying the school wishes Black a full and speedy recovery.

The senior has competed in 25 tournaments in 3 1/2 seasons, most recently at an October tournament in Hopkinsville, Ky.
