NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Protesters made their presence known at the State Capitol on Tuesday right at the start of the legislative session.

Occupy Nashville and Tennesseans for Fair Taxation jointly held a press conference before the session.

Then they lined the halls as lawmakers showed up for their first day back. A few protesters dropped paper onto the floor that read "The People's Bribe: Get money out of politics. We are the 99%. Which side are you on?"

The protesters did not interrupt the session.
