Suspect Arrested In December Home Invasion, Shooting

Posted: Updated:

FRANKLIN, Tenn.- A violent man with a criminal history was arrested in Franklin Friday afternoon.

31-year-old Joseph Norris is a convicted felon on parole with a violent criminal history. Detectives believe he is one of the men who forced their way into the home where two women were delivering Christmas presents to the woman who lived there in December 2011.

Police said Norris forced all three next-door and when the man who lived there came outside someone shot him. The victim has been released from the hospital, but police continue to search for the other suspects in the case. Police are also still working to locate the vehicle that suspects left the scene in, a silver 4-door vehicle, possibly a Chevy Impala.

Norris was booked into the Williamson County Jail and was being held in lieu of a $325,000 bond.

Anyone with information about the other suspects in this case or the suspect vehicle is urged to call Franklin Crime Stoppers at (615) 794-4000.
