Nashville Symphony Plays For Elementary School Students

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A string quartet from the Nashville Symphony played some classics for students at Tuckers Crossroads Elementary School Monday.

The children got a chance to see the musicians -- and hear the performance up close. The quartet performed for several classes and talked to students about their backgrounds and their love of music.

Tuckers Crossroads does not have a string program. But Mt. Juliet High School in Wilson County started a string program just this year.

The shooting happened Sunday evening at a basketball court on Sam Ridley Parkway. According to police, the victim and others were driving away after the fight when a car pulled up next to them and shot into the car.more>>
