Teen Charged With Burglary Of Two Clarksville Businesses

Posted: Updated:

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Police in Clarksville have arrested a teenager accused of breaking into and robbing two businesses in the past month.

Police were called to the Hardees on Fort Campbell Boulevard just before 4 a.m. Tuesday to check on a robbery in progress.

When officers arrived at the restaurant they found that someone had broken into the story through the drive-thru window. According to police, the officers on the scene spotted 19-year-old Ruslan Woodbridge standing inside of the business near the drive-thru's cash register. When Woodbridge spotted the police he took off, causing the officers to chase and tackle him.

Police said Woodbridge had two throwing knives over 4 inches long in a holster and a third knife was found on the ground. Officers also found a backpack filled with burglary tools, a BB Gun, knives, and masks.

Once in custody, police said Woodbridge admitted to detectives that he broke into the Hardees store to steal money. During the interview one of the detectives recognized Woodbridge as the suspect wanted in a burglary of Chapala, another business located on Fort Campbell Boulevard earlier in the month. Woodbridge admitted that he had broken into that business as well.

Woodbridge was charged with two counts of burglary, in addition to other charges. He was being held in the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $12,000 bond
