NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A firefighter was injured after falling through the roof of a house on fire in the Buena Vista area on Wednesday morning.

It broke out just after 7 a.m. on 14th Avenue at 18th Avenue North. Fire crews reported heavy smoke and flames when they got on the scene.

Sky 5 HD showed heavy smoke that could be seen from far away and some flames on one side of the house.

The firefighter suffered minor injuries when he fell through the roof, but he was not taken to the hospital.

Everyone got out of the house safely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
