NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A restaurant in south Nashville will remain closed after its kitchen was damaged by fire on Wednesday morning.
It broke out around 11 a.m. Wednesday at Norman Couser's Country Cooking on Nolensville Road across from the Nashville Zoo. Firefighters reported heavy smoke when they got on the scene.
Fire officials said a grease fire started in the grill area, and all employees were evacuated. The business was not open so no customers were inside the restaurant.
The damage was contained to the kitchen, but they may have to replace several appliances. The restaurant will remain closed for at least the day as they clean up.
