Jeffery Short
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police want to identify the gunman who shot and killed a man outside a Bordeaux apartment complex.
It happened around 11:15 p.m. Sunday when police received an anonymous call about a shooting at the Buena Vista Manor Apartments on Buena Vista Pike. Police said 20-year-old Jeffery short was found lying near the open driver's side door of a car that was still running.
Police said he had been shot in the chest, back and arm. He was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police hope someone will come forward with information about the shooting.
"We're in the very beginning stages of the investigation. We're going to be canvassing the neighborhood, knocking on doors, see if anybody heard or saw anything," said Metro Police Captain Preston Brandimore.
Short had been arrested in August for allegedly selling crack cocaine. He was free on $8,000 bond.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
