NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Vanderbilt women have swept the Southeastern Conference's weekly honors with Christina Foggie named player of the week and Kady Schrann named the top freshman.
This is the second such honor for Foggie. She scored 34 points in helping Vanderbilt upset then-No. 17 Georgia 68-48 she shot 50 percent from the floor and hit 7 of 16 3-pointers. The sophomore guard from Mount Laurel, N.J., scored all 14 points in the second half helping the Commodores beat LSU 81-72. Foggie leads Vanderbilt and the SEC scoring 18.2 points per game.
Schrann scored 29 points against LSU. The freshman guard hit 11 of 15 from the floor, including 3 of 5 from 3-point range, in posting a career-high. The freshman also matched a season-high with six assists against Georgia.
