Johnny LovellSMYRNA, Tenn. – Police need help finding two suspects accused of defrauding senior citizens in a home repair scam.
Police said the two men went to several homes posing as contractors, roofers and/or gutter installers in Smyrna on January 25. The men wanted payment in advance to cover material costs.
Police said most of the women told the men to leave, but one gave the suspects a check that her bank became suspicious of and would not accept the transaction when they men tried to cash it.
Smyrna police was able to identify one of the suspects, but the other has not been identified. Police said 27-year-old Johnny R. Lovell is wanted for one count of felony theft. Police said he has two IDs: one from Florida and one from Tennessee.
