KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - A former UT professor has begun a four year sentence for allowing secret military technology to fall into the hands of foreign-born students.
John Roth taught electrical engineering at the Knoxville campus, but he also landed an Air Force contract to develop technology used in unmanned drones.
During the course of the class, he allowed two Chinese students access the information. They in turn forwarded some of the information overseas.
