WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. - Police in White House said a pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on Interstate 65 Wednesday night.

It happened just before 10 p.m. near Exit 108 on Interstate 65.

The stretch of Interstate around Exit 108 was closed for several hours while police investigated the scene. All northbound lanes of I-65 were blocked.

The victim's name has not been released. It was unclear if the vehicle that hit the pedestrian left or remained on the scene.
