NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The official 2012 Tennessee Transportation Map is now available.

This year's map contains a Quick Response (QR) code that will allow users to scan and link to the Tennessee Department of Transportation's mobile web application, TDOT SmartWay Mobile. Motorists can get real-time traffic information using smartphones this way.

The map is a joint effort between TDOT and the Tennessee Department of Tourism Development.

The map can be downloaded at www.tn.gov/tdot/maps.htm . They are free at welcome centers and rest areas across the state.
