CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – A 14-year-old girl admitted to emailing in a bomb threat to Christian County High School Hopkinsville, Kentucky on Thursday morning.
Police said a staff member got an email on Wednesday night saying there would be a bomb in the school on Thursday, but the email wasn't received until Thursday morning.
Christian County Police were called to the scene. They searched the school and found nothing.
Hopkinsville Detectives said they determined that the email had been send from the home of a 14-year-old female student who attended Christian County High School.
Students were moved to the old middle school nearby while they searched the school, but have since been allowed back in the school.
The teen admitted to making the bomb threat. She was arrested by Hopkinsville Police and taken to the juvenile detention facility in Paducah, Ky.
