NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Davidson County home sustained substantial damage in a fire that started in a garage that had been converted into a bedroom.
The fire started just after 3 p.m. Thursday at 2916 Rich Acres Drive in North Nashville.
The house was fully engaged in flames when firefighters they arrived on scene. They were able to put the blaze out, but said the inside of the house was a total loss.
Officials said the fire started outside in the garage/bedroom area, and quickly spread to the rest of the home.
At least one resident was home at the time.
No one was injured in the blaze. Officials said the family was displaced, but said they did not need assistance from the Red Cross.
The exact cause of the fire was under investigation.
