NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said a couple was tied up following a violent home invasion in south Nashville overnight.
It happened at an apartment complex on Wallace Road. Police said two men knocked on the victims' door around 10:30 p.m. shortly after they had arrived home. When they answered, two men armed with semi-automatic handguns forced their way inside.
They took $100 from the man, and then the pair allegedly took the woman to a back bedroom and began to sexually assault her.
Later, police said the men tied the couple up with duct tape and fled the scene.
The men were wearing ski masks, but police said they were looking for two Hispanic men.
Police had K9 and aviation units searching for the suspects, but have since called off that search. They continue to monitor the area.
Police were still investigating.
