Student Charged With Arson At Kenwood High School

Posted: Updated:

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A Clarksville student is charged with arson after allegedly setting fire to his high school art room.

All students were evacuated from Kenwood High School earlier this week, when a teacher found a ball of yarn on fire in a storage room.

Firefighters quickly activated the sprinkler system, which led to $10,000 worth of water damage.

After an investigation, a 17-year-old student was named as the main suspect. He appeared in court on Thursday.

His trial is set for early March.
