FORT CAMPBELL, Ky.- Investigators have identified the man found shot to death Friday night on a Christian County, Kentucky road.
The victim is 28-year-old Vincent Goslyn, Jr., an active duty soldier at Fort Campbell. Goslyn was found shot multiple times along Fidelio Road Friday night.
Detectives say Goslyn's wife was with him when he was shot, and she is the person who called 911. The couple had been out to dinner in Hopkinsville. Investigators say Goslyn's wife is cooperating fully with investigators.
"Right now those tapes are still being listened to very actively by the sheriff's department, the detectives that are investigating the case, as to what story she did put out on the 911 call," explained Steve Tucker with the Christian County Sheriff's Department.
Tucker would not elaborate on whether Goslyn or his wife was armed when he was killed.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Christian County Crime Stoppers at 270-887-TIPS.
