MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A tax agency already stirring up trouble in Nashville has some customers in Memphis upset as well.
Customers of Mo' Money Taxes are upset because they said the company is withholding their tax refunds.
People in 16 other states reported getting delayed tax refunds through Mo' Money. Now, company owners want to set the records straight.
"The last thing we want to do is to have America frantic, like some tax company has taken their money," said owner Markey Grandberry.
"Bear with Mo' Money Taxes, MoneyCo and any tax company. Next week and the week after is going to be a big week for refunds because they will start to release a majority of those refunds," continued Grandberry.
Grandberry said the problem was all because of a computer glitch. He said the refunds will come, but Mo' Money cannot guarantee when that will happen.
Customers in Nashville complained about not receiving their refunds as well at the end of January. The manager of one of the local stores said the Internal Revenue Service and a computer glitch were to blame for the delay.
