Lionel HarrisJACKSON, Tenn. - Police in Jackson have named a person of interest in the fatal beating of a man whose body was found in a parking lot.
Officers said Wednesday they found the body of 27-year-old Lionel Deshun Harris of Marion, Arkansas, about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. They said he had been living with his girlfriend in Jackson since December 2010.
Police said they originally thought Harris had been shot, but a preliminary autopsy report showed he died of multiple blunt force injuries to the head.
Officers said an acquaintance of Harris was a person of interest in the death. They are searching for Rueben Fairfield, whose last known address was in the 200 block of W. Grand Avenue in Jackson.
