NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Their hearts were warmed on a brutally cold night by a show of support for
their murdered loved-one.
Tonya Ross, 43, was
remembered Saturday evening during a candle-light vigil, in the north-side
neighborhood where she lived and died.
Family and friends wore
custom-made t-shirts, honoring the mother of four who was shot and killed last
Tuesday evening as she slept in her own bed.
Pictures and helium
balloons were placed at the home's front-wall, still riddled with bullets.
"The turnout was
great, but the most important thing is that we are looking for the ones who
done it. We're asking for the population and society to help us, and for the
community to come together because it was a senseless killing," said Ross's
cousin, Jerry Buckner.
Loved-ones have planned a
wake for Tonya Ross Monday evening with funeral services and burial to follow.
