NASHVILLE, Tenn.- President Obama's $3.8 trillion dollar budget contains several items that could make Republicans angry.
On Monday, the President gave the otherwise dull document a bitingly political preamble, aimed directly at the opposition.
The introduction to the budget reads:
"Unfortunately, Republicans in Congress blocked both our deficit reduction measures and almost every part of the American Jobs Act for the simple reason that they were unwilling to ask the wealthiest Americans to pay their fair share."
Congressman Diane Black was meeting constituents when the budget was released. Though many Republicans have criticized the president's political message, Representative Black said it all comes down to dollars and cents.
"There may be some things I like and there may be some things I don't like. I just know that we have got to be serious about saying this budget process cannot just go on the way it is where we continue to spend more than we bring in,' said Black
While speaking with reporters, Representative Black had some nice things to say about Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, but stopped short of an endorsement.
