Danny Thomas Commemorative Stamp Issued In Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- A Danny Thomas commemorative stamp has been issued by the U.S. Postal Service.

The Forever Stamp was put out Thursday in Memphis, where Thomas founded St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 1962. The stamp shows a portrait of Thomas with the hospital in the background.

Thomas, star of the long-running TV show "Make Room for Daddy," died in 1991.
