Drunk Driver Almost Hits Metro Officer

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A Metro Police officer was nearly run down by a drunk driver downtown Thursday night.

Police dispatch said the man was under the influence while driving down 3rd Avenue and Church Street.

Witnesses reported that the man jumped out of his car after nearly hitting an officer and attempted to flee the scene. Police caught him shortly after.
