LEBANON, Tenn. – The Lebanon Police Department has issued an Endangered Child Alert for two young siblings.

Officials said 4-year-old Danny Scott and 10-year-old Cheyenne Bates were to be placed in protective custody Monday, but their mother, Cindy Bates, fled the area with them.

Cindy Bates was believed to be driving a red or maroon 1998 Plymouth Neon with Tennessee license plate B41 62F or a white 1998 Dodge van with Tennessee license plate 911 TGZ. She may also be driving with a white male in a white Chevy Silverado truck with an unknown Tennessee license plate.

Bates, age 36, has been described with blonde hair, hazel eyes, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds.

Danny Scott was described as a white male with brown hair, 3 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 30 pounds.

Cheyenne Bates was described as a white female with blonde hair, 4 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 60 pounds.

Officials did not say why the children were to be put in protective custody.

Anyone with information on the children or suspect should contact the Lebanon Police Department at 615-444-2323 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND (1-800-824-3463).
