NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police and the bomb squad were called out to Congressman Jim Cooper's office after reports that a suspicious package had been found.

The call came in to emergency dispatchers just before 7 p.m. Crews responded to the office on Church Street between 5th and 7th Streets.

The road was closed for about 2 hours while the bomb squad investigated.

Officials said the incident turned out to be a false alarm with no dangers or threats. They did not say what the package turned out to be.
