VAN BUREN COUNTY, Tenn. – Two young siblings were found Wednesday afternoon after an AMBER alert was issued when the children were taken by their non-custodial parents in east Tennessee.

The Van Buren Sheriff's Office said three-year-old Summer Knasel and four-year-old Lovell Knasel were abducted around midnight by their parents, 32-year-old Jeremy Knasel and 24-year-old Ashley Norberg.

Summer was last seen wearing a Dora the Explorer nightgown. Lovell was wearing a princess nightgown.

The girls had been removed from their parents' custody on February 17 after authorities discovered Knasel and Norberg were manufacturing methamphetamine inside their house in Spencer with the children present. Police said Knasel is known by law enforcement to act irrationally, and police said they believe the pair is armed with a handgun.

The children were found safe in Maryland.
