NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Students across the state begin competing this week in district history day contests.
The district competition for students in grades 6 through 12 lasts through March 24 in Greeneville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Clarksville, Murfreesboro and Memphis.
Contestants will present history-themed projects in a variety of formats, including museum-style exhibits, papers, web sites, documentaries and live performances.
District winners advance to statewide competition in Nashville April 21.
