Faulkner Elevated To MTSU Offensive Coordinator

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Buster Faulkner has been elevated to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Middle Tennessee State University.

Faulkner handled play calling for the final seven games last season after Willie Simmons resigned.

Meanwhile Tuesday, coach Rick Stockstill said fourth-year coach Steve Ellis will be co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach. Tyrone Nix, a defensive coordinator for 11 years at Ole Miss, South Carolina and Southern Miss, will join Ellis as co-defensive coordinator.
