(HealthDay News) -- A license to drive offers many benefits, but a lot of responsibility, too.

The National Safety Council offers these recommendations for responsible driving:

  • Always wear your safety belt.
  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol.
  • Stay focused on the road.
  • Drive defensively. Always try to anticipate what other drivers will do.
