Detectives Investigate Rape Report In Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Detectives in Murfreesboro are investigating a woman's claim that she was raped and beaten.

The victim told police she was at a party at a home near the Evergreen cemetery in Murfreesboro.

She left and two men allegedly jumped into the car with her. She claims they beat her and then sexually assaulted her.

She said they took her wedding band and watch, and then ran away.

The woman was treated at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna.

Police said the woman is working with them on a description of her attackers.
