NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission is trying to determine whether a woman accused in a deadly wrong way crash was served too much alcohol.
Rebecca Benson, 22, faces vehicular homicide charges. Benson was allegedly drunk, when she drove southbound in the northbound lanes of I-65 last week.
She slammed head-on into a van, killing 29-year-old Steffanie Leonard.
Officials are trying to figure out if Benson was over-served before she drove. So far, police have not released which licensed establishment is under investigation.
