Video Shows Family Being Hit By Boat At Bass Pro Shop

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Surveillance video captured a terrifying moment when a truck slammed into a boat display outside Bass Pro Shop, injuring three people last month.

A family of three from Wisconsin were injured after, a pickup driven by Charles Gillespie smashed into a boat parked outside the Opry Mills store. Gillespie, from Illinois, said that his foot got stuck in the accelerator.

The Ferge family, 56-year-old Mary Ferge, her husband 57-year-old David Ferge and their 34-year-old son, Jason Ferge, were all hit by the boat. They were all taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center,

Bystanders who saw the crash ran to help. Some even tried to lift the boat. Rescuers were eventually able to free the family. There were all later released from Vanderbilt.
