MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee State University earned a No. 4 seed and will host fifth- seeded Marshall on Tuesday in the first-round of the National Invitational Tournament.
The Blue Raiders (25-6) received an automatic bid to the tournament after winning the Sun Belt regular-season championship. It is their third NIT appearance in the team's history.
MTSU and Marshall have met five times previously, with the Raiders having a 3-2 advantage.
Middle Tennessee is coming off a 13-game winning streak on its home floor.
The game will be played on their home court at Murphy Center, and will be aired on ESPN3.
