Truck Dumps Dirt, Rocks On I-40 East

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Interstate 40 eastbound has re-opened after truck carrying rock and dirt lost its load on Tuesday morning.

It happened around 8:20 a.m. at mile marker 214, just before Briley Parkway. Police said a truck hauling dirt and rocks lost its load, spilling the contents across two football fields of a lane of the interstate.

There was no word on injuries.
