NASHVILLE, Tenn. – All lanes of Interstate 24 west have re-opened following a crash between two semi trucks that left one of them on their side, just past the Davidson/Rutherford County line.
It happened around 8:10 a.m. Wednesday at mile marker 63, just before the Old Hickory Boulevard exit.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said it's believed two semi trucks collided. One of them turned over in the grass on the side of the interstate and lost its load.
Two ambulances were on the scene, and one left with a patient. It was unclear of the injuries, but LifeFlight was brought in.
The interstate re-opened by noon, but the overturned tractor trailer had not been removed from the side of interstate.
