One Killed After Truck Towing RV Flips On I-65S In Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, Tenn. – One person was killed in a rollover crash on I-65 southbound in Millersville.

It happened around 9 a.m. Friday at mile marker 103, just after the Bethel Road exit.

Investigators said a pickup truck towing an RV lost control and flipped over several times.

There were three people inside the truck; the driver, 60-year-old Phyllis Spurlock was killed and two passengers received minor injuries but were not taken to the hospital.

Police said all three were wearing their seatbelts.

One lane of the interstate was shut down while crews worked to clear the scene, but it re-opened by noon.
