Young Driver Killed In Cheatham Co. Wreck

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn.- A young driver was killed following a crash in Cheatham County.

Police said the wreck happened around 6:30 on Harris Town Road between Ashland City and Pleasant View.

According to police, a young female driver left the roadway and struck a tree head-on. It was unclear what caused the woman to stray from the road. Tennessee Highway Patrol Officers were called to the scene to investigate.

The woman was transported by emergency medical helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.

The woman's name and age have not been released.
