NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The 20th annual Tin Pan South Festival officially kicks off Tuesday night.

More than 350 songwriters come together for the world's largest songwriters festival every year. Over the next week, 90 shows will be performed throughout Nashville.

In the last 20 years, organizers said this event has grown to epic proportions.

"It started in four clubs, and maybe 20 shows. Now we have 85 shows, and venues all over town," said Erika Wollam Nichols.

Some of the performances on Tuesday night include Josh Turner and Friends at 6 p.m. at the Hard Rock. The late show at 9 p.m. will also include names like Jim Beavers, Luke Bryan, Bob DiPiero, and Jeff Stevens.

Other venues to catch the writers are Belcourt Taps and Tapas, The Bluebird Cafe, Commodore Grille, and The Station Inn.
