Couple Embezzles $730,000 From Charity

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A local couple has been charged with embezzling thousands of dollars from a national charity.

Police said that Risa Woodward worked for the American Association for State and Local History for nearly 20 years. During her time with the organization she worked as the financial manager and stole $730,000.

Risa and her husband, James, were both charged with embezzlement and were schedule to be in court for an arraignment in April.
