NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Traffic has been reduced to two lanes on Westbound Interstate 24 near Harding Place after a crash.
The crash occurred Monday around 12:20 p.m.
Police said a truck carrying roofing shingles stopped on the interstate for an unknown reason and a following min-van rear ended the truck. At least two people were taken to an area hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries.
All westbound lanes were originally blocked, but crews worked quickly to clean debris and open the left lane. Traffic was slow as vehicles worked to get around the wreckage.
Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation reported the roadway would not be cleared until 3 p.m.
