Country Singer George Jones Released From Hospital

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Country music legend George Jones has been released from a Nashville hospital after suffering from a reported upper respiratory infection.

Jones was hospitalized on March 29th for an infection that his publicist said was not pneumonia. The latest hospitalization came just days after 80-year-old Jones canceled a performance in Peoria, Illinois set for June 23.

A spokesperson for Jones said that he wished to thank all his friends and fans for their prayers and well wishes over the past few days.

Jones was said to be resting at home until he plans to return to the stage on April 20th in Minnesota.
